Sliding Rock is a pretty good place. Being that the water's so cold and the fact you're sliding down the rocks, a lot of girls do in their clothes, usually jeans or jeans shorts.
Comment 1: My favorite location is a place called Sliding Rock in North Carolina. Sliding Rock is located near the town of Brevard. Tourists driving through the area see the sign Sliding Rock. As they pull in, the parking lot is huge, and usually full. A short walk to the falls reveals what all the excitement is about. Mother nature has created the world's largest water slide.
The noise and excitement draws people like a light attracts bugs. Nearly no one has a swimsuit but the cool water draws them in. People stand in line with all their clothes on waiting a turn to slide down the rock and into the cool pool waiting below.
The view is great. The excitement is overwelming as one person after another emerges from the cold water soaking wet. Everyone has a wonderful time getting wet with their clothes on.
I have visited many times and never been disappointed. Go there and join the fun as people learn what we already know.
Comment 2: Driving Directions are: From Brevard, go about 3 mi NE on RT 280, turn NW on RT 276, go about 8 mi (past "Davidson River" campground swimming hole and "Coontree" Rec. Area) to signs for Sliding Rock.
